Brief description of the plot:

The beginning of The Jungle involves Ona and Jurgis wedding celebration. They are immigrants from Lithuania, and arriving to the city turns out to be more complicated than they were expecting. Their wedding celebration is in the custom of a Lithuanian wedding, many people are invited to eat and drink, but are highly suggested to help pay for the wedding. A few take advantage of this custom and both Ona and Jurgis begin to worry about being able to pay the tab. The bartender regularly overcharges his customers and takes advantage of the new family. It turns out that Jurgis will attempt to try harder to cover their losses.
